Nelka Herath is an accomplished IT Support Consultant with over 13 years of experience in the IT support sector. He commenced his career in 2012 as an IT Assistant at Midas Safety Sri Lanka. During his tenure, Nelka played an integral role in several high-profile projects, including the migration to Office 365, Cisco VOIP implementation, Kaspersky Endpoint deployment, and the implementation of ManageEngine Service Desk. He also held the position of Site IT Administrator across multiple locations, where he was responsible for overseeing key administrative functions, such as IT budgeting, request analysis, and procurement. His final role at Midas Safety was as Global Administrator for Office 365 and ManageEngine Helpdesk.
Nelka transitioned to the managed services domain by joining Eureka Technology Partners, where he provided IT support consulting services to a diverse range of clients. Notable clients included Stax and MAS Holdings, for whom he contributed to several strategic initiatives, such as the implementation of Logitech VOIP, Zscaler deployment, and the development of an IT Asset Inventory system.
In 2021, Nelka relocated to Canada and assumed the position of IT Analyst at Telus Digital. In this capacity, he provided critical support across several platforms, including ServiceNow, iOS, Logitech, Windows Systems, and Active Directory.
Driven by a desire to share his extensive knowledge and expertise, Nelka founded Moose IT Support, a venture dedicated to providing exceptional IT solutions and insights cultivated throughout his professional career.
